Mind = Blown

When’s the last time you met someone so great that you couldn’t believe you hadn’t met before? I had a meeting with someone like that this past Friday, and it kind of blew my mind. For nearly three hours we sat and talked about business philosophies, business possibilities, marketing, community, social media, family, and food. I usually have the kind of brain for which concentrating on something means I’m thinking of only three things at once instead of twenty-three, but during these hours I was entirely focused on the conversation, on the present moment – I can’t recall the last time I was this engaged. When I left I was equally exhausted and energized. I hope like crazy that this is only the first of many conversations like this and that this turns into a big, amazing life change for me, but in the end if all that comes from this is that for three hours of my life I made an incredible connection to another human being, I’ll still feel really lucky. Or thankful, I should say, since ’tis the season and all.
